"Many people look but they do not see."
Our Story
Scott Powers, the founder of Komo Golf, boasts an impressive track record of over a decade in the golf industry. His journey has taken him to work on, and play golf courses scattered across the globe.
Notably, he's lent his expertise to the golf design teams of Coore & Crenshaw, Rhebb & Johns, David McClay Kidd and has ventured into his own golf architecture design and consultation.
Our Approach
This distinctive outlook on golf design has spilled over into the realm of golf media, leading to a renaissance in capturing the essence of the game.
The mission behind Komo Golf is simple yet profound: to highlight and celebrate the game of golf. With an intentionally unconventional and non-traditional approach, this boutique creative firm, powered by a small team of golf-obsessed nerds, aims to bring high-end, exclusive golf properties from all corners of the globe into the spotlight.
Why “Komo”?
“Komo” comes from the Japanese word “Komorebi” (木漏れ日), which translates to “sunlight filtering through trees”. It’s a fitting symbol for the fleeting, yet powerful moments we capture on the course. Our logo, inspired by a tree that Scott transplanted during his work on a Caribbean course, represents resilience and a commitment to preserving the beauty of the landscape.
